Glove =
baseball/softball gloves are required and should be at both practices and games.  Avoid buying an oversized glove. Beginners should stick to a smaller glove for additional control.  It does take time to break in your new glove.  No matter what you do, most will agree that the most effective way to break in a glove is by using it.  Most gloves have the pre-measured size stamped inside where the pocket is. Below are general sizes:

Tee-Ball  9-10" Infield 10 - 11.75" Pitcher 11.5 - 12.25" Outfield 11.5 - 12.25"

Batting Gloves = Batting gloves are optional and a personal preference of the player.

Athletic Supporters = All male players playing divisions higher than Tee Ball must wear an Athletic Supporter for their protection per Little League

Facemask = All Softball infielders are required to wear a protective face mask.  All other players in Softball and Baseball can wear protective face masks at the decision of the player and parents.

Equipment Bag =
Equipment bags are an optional item but are very nice to have.  The player can put all his gear & water in the bag and hang it on the dugout fence.  This item can be use for future seasons.

Long Sleeve Under Jersey Shirt = Long sleeve shirts are optional, but they keep the player warm for any of those cold spring weather games.  Pitchers cannot wear white sleeves, it is encouraged to coordinate with the coach regarding preferred color.

Practice Shirt = The league does not provide or sell any practice shirts.

Baseball Bat =
Bats are optional.  However, it's nice to have your own as many players want to practice when away from the team.  It is essential that you select a baseball bat that fits your unique body configuration and skill level, height, weight, and hitting strength. Your bat must also conform to the specifications as to what bats are approved by Little League for use in their various divisions.

Tee Ball Bats = Starting on January 1, 2018, all Tee Ball bats in the Little League Baseball® Tee Ball program must feature the USA Baseball mark and accompanying text. Tee Ball bats that were produced and/or purchased prior to the implementation of the new standard can be certified using an Approved Tee Ball Sticker – these stickers are available through the league and will be distributed by coaches.
