LOS ALAMOS COUNTY LITTLE LEAGUE GOAL: Our goal is to provide children the opportunity
to develop, both physically and socially, as well as learn skills specific to
the game of baseball and softball. Little League is an excellent avenue to
building self-esteem, introducing and improving teamwork, and allowing all
children to have fun. Every child plays in every game in Little League.
LENGTH OF SEASON: Please note that regular season games will be played
through the middle of June. If a player is picked for an All-Star team, the season
will last (at least) through the middle of July.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Various start times and locations on weekdays and
Saturdays for practices. 6:00pm start time for games played on weekday
evenings. Games will be played at various times on Saturday mornings. No
regular-season games are scheduled for Sundays. T-Ball and AA teams usually
practice twice per week before regular season, less often once regular season
starts. AAA and Majors practice two to three times per week before regular
season. Once regular season starts, games are two to three times per week.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS: Los Alamos Little League is a 100% volunteer
organization. Please volunteer for any of the following positions:
(1) COACHES
AND MANAGERS, free coaching clinics provided,
(2) UMPIRES, free clinics
provided,
(3) TEAM PARENT,
(4) SCORE KEEPER, free training provided,
(5) FIELD
MAINTENANCE, field prep prior to games, field maintenance.
REGISTRATION FEES ARE $100 WITH A $10 DISCOUNT FOR ADDITIONAL SIBLINGS. Fees for all players are shown on registration
information. Each child will be provided with one regular season uniform. Los
Alamos Little League does not cover uniform costs for post-season All-Star
teams.
NEED BASED SCHOLARSHIPS: Need-based scholarships are available upon
request.
Hello, the Los Alamos Little League is excited about the 2022 season. You have registered your player(s) for the 2022 season, below are frequently asked questions and important upcoming dates.
Teams – Teams have not yet been formed, but you will hear from your coach via email closer to spring break time.
Interested Volunteers – If you volunteered to coach a board member will be reaching out to you as early as this week. For all other roles, a board member or coach will reach out to you after spring break. If you didn’t express interest in volunteering at the time you registered your player(s), but are interested now, you can log on to your account and select a role to volunteer.
Practices & Games– Once coaches are on board practice schedules will be created, so the exact days of practices are not yet known. Game schedules will be posted on the website. Below is the frequency of practices and games based on the division of play. Practices and games will go between WR and LA.
